Projects operated by SMCC
financed by Vietnamese Assitance for Handicap (VNAH). We instructed four visually impaired students to print Braille materials. They edited the book Basic Organ in Vietnamese and printed 40 copies in Braille and 40 copies for low vision readers. The book was then donated to associations for the blind and individuals.
- May - August 2002. The Braille Printing Room Establishment Project
July 2003 - July 2004. The Development of a Web Browser for the Blind Project participated
in the Vietnam Innovation Day competition held by World Bank, and was admitted to financing.
The software (30.3 MB) can be downloaded from our server.
October 2003 - October 2004. The
Distance Computer Training Network for the Blind Project was selected for the Live Your Dreams competition, held by Samsung, and was financed by Samsung Electronics.
February - November 2005. Sao Mai Word. Development of a Vietnamese talking editor, financed by Juniper Network.
It will be published as free open source and we will call for programming volunteers through sourceforge.net to contribute.
The latest version (93.5 MB) can be downloaded from our server.
December 2005 - November 2006. Digital Talking Books Library and Vietnamese Screen Reader. A one year project financed by Samsung Electronics with a grant of 44.535 USD.
